Territory Sales Manager – Seed – Southern QLD - FILLED BY US!

The role itself?
As a Territory Sales Manager, with the support and guidance of the team you will work with growers, farmers and key stakeholders in the rural retail network across Southern Queensland. Whilst having a focus on farmer relationships, it is also vital that you add value to and manage the retail network. Your day to day activities in this role will include:

  • Ensure profitable, sustainable, and efficient growth to meet business goals as indicated in the business plans and marketing strategy

  • Create new business opportunities and build new market share, through the development and delivery of marketing strategies, programs, and plans

  • Identify and convert sales opportunities within a current market/industry by ensuring that market/industry needs and issues are fulfilled and understood

  • Develop market plans to direct business activities and document expected returns from the particular market

  • Coordinate business development opportunities, targeting/supporting these with effective sales strategies

  • Actively seek out new sources of business

  • Filter opportunities based on strategic fit, initial risk assessment, technical review, and development of opportunity

  • Respond to enquiries regarding products

  • Attend field days representing to customers and growers

  • Accurately identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions, ensure correct answers offered to the customer

  • Design and deliver presentations at relevant events

  • Proactively support and build relationships with other areas of the business

  • Work closely with other Territory Managers and product specialists

  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment

What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with tertiary agronomy qualifications and previous experience in pasture or broadacre agronomy and/or managing farming and retail customers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with seed products.
