Territory Development Agronomist - Soil & Plant Nutrition - Riverina

 

A dynamic role within an integrated business across the manufacture and supply of sustainable soil and plant nutrition technologies.

The role itself?
You will be responsible for sales and marketing of products within the southern and central NSW region, managing key relationships on behalf of the company and providing technical advice at farm and store level. In this area, you will engage with a diverse range of primary producers including permanent planting like nuts, citrus, and prunes; as well as horticulture; irrigated and dry broadacre cropping; and pastoral-based enterprises The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with industry personnel is vital to being successful in this role.

Your day to day activities in this role will include:

  • Driving new sales of composts, custom soil amendments, liquid fertiliser, and biological inputs.

  • Developing and implementing an annual seasonal territory sales plan.

  • Proactively inputting and maintaining CRM records.

  • Supporting new product development and field based demonstrations across a diverse product portfolio including compost, biological fertilisers, and amendments both for conventional and organic production systems.

  • Representing the company at relevant industry forums and selected field days.

  • Interpreting crop and soil data to effectively provide crop recommendations to achieve the best possible grower outcomes.

What kind of person will be suitable?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with tertiary agronomy qualifications and previous broadacre or horticultural agronomy experience. A person that has a proven ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions. This role will suit someone that is passionate about agronomy, improving farming systems and is driven to exceed the expectations of the industry.
