State Manager – Crop Health Products – Vic & Tas

The role itself?
Home office based somewhere in the Melbourne, Bendigo or Ballarat region you will be responsible for sales and marketing of products within Victoria and Tasmania, managing key relationships on behalf of the company and providing technical advice at farm and store level. The product portfolio is relevant across a range of broadacre and horticultural systems; to date, there has been a focus on broadacre cropping applications. The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders is vital to being successful in this role.

  • Your day to day activities in this role will include:

  • Service existing farming and dealer customers to maintain relationships and grow business revenue and profitability

  • Developing and implementing an annual seasonal territory sales plan

  • Proactively inputting and maintaining CRM records

  • Supporting new product development and field based demonstrations across a diverse product portfolio

  • Representing the company at relevant industry forums and selected field days

  • Work closely with the cross-functional teams (e.g. Marketing, Product Manager and Supply Chain

  • Management) to ensure efficient and effective supply of goods ordered / sold

  • Manage annual negotiations, including trading terms and conditions, to achieve sales objectives within customer groups not under national agreements

  • Forge working relationships with distribution, private agronomists, researchers, grower groups and farmers to increase adoption of SE14 sales

What kind of person will be suitable?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with agronomy qualifications and previous commercial agronomy experience. A person that has a proven ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions. This role will suit someone that is passionate about agronomy, improving farming systems and is driven to exceed the expectations of the industry.
