Who you will work for?
This seed enhancement business has been operating in Australia for 14 years, is a global leader in adding value to seed through production and coating technology methods developed in Europe. The business itself is a small part of a larger global R&D company that operates across various industries and market segments including but not limited to agriculture.  

The role itself?
As a trainee, with the support and guidance of the team you will engage on a business-to-business level across the agricultural seed industry. Your time will be spent liaising with the technical staff, agronomists, production/farm managers, quality control managers and business managers across the industry where you will create opportunities to strengthen their understanding of seed enhancement technology. 

Your day to day activities in this role will include:

  • Effective and on-going management of all commercial relationships
  • Developing product positioning and implementing customer account plans 
  • Engaging in an on-going and progressive professional development program 
  • Providing timely and accurate technical support to current and potential customers
  • Identifying market opportunities and working closely with customers to understand their needs
  • Engaging in technical, sales and developmental experiences with a senior team member
  • Offering a supportive and educational environment across the industry to increase knowledge of seed enhancement technologies
  • Creating and engaging in valuable professional relationships

What kind of person will suit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with tertiary agronomy qualifications and previous experience in the horticultural industry. A person that has a proven ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions.
