Soil Health Specialist – Central QLD Coast - FILLED BY US!

 

This is an opportunity to work amongst a team of experienced consultants in improving the overall efficiency, productivity and development of farming businesses across Australia. 

As part of a dynamic consulting team that possess deep expertise across the functions of animal and crop production systems in Australia, you will be responsible for facilitating the growth and development of your clients’ farm through your knowledge of soil health.

Who you will work for?
This business was initially a consulting company based in Northern Territory until exponential growth lead to a move to Central Queensland in the early 90’s. This move coincided with additional training and development programs being offered across a loyal client base and meant that the business now provides a range of professional services to producers and producer groups right across Australia. 

The role itself?
This is an opportunity to join this business in servicing and consulting directly to farm business owners and managers. Your day to day activities in this role will include: 

  • Deliver services including consulting and education programs using the latest research and knowledge from around the world to deliver advanced soil health solutions for natural farming systems
  • Actively develop trials in partnership with key industry partners to educate and support producers to increase production and performance of their systems
  • Manage the delivery of assigned projects for efficient delivery of client requirements
  • Become an active member of a dynamic close-knit team including head office and regional staff and contractors
  • Contribute to and deliver on the company marketing, media and promotions strategy in consultation with the GM and Marketing & Promotions Officer
  • Deliver company products and services within budget
  • Conduct other support activities as required

What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be someone that has at least 3 years’ experience in broadacre/pasture agronomy or livestock production and tertiary qualifications in agricultural science. A person that has a proven ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with producers by providing quality information and solutions. This role will suit someone that is passionate about livestock, pasture and crop production and is driven to be part of the improvement of farming systems right across Australia.
