Precision Agriculture Technician - FILLED BY US!

A fantastic opportunity to combine your love of broadacre agronomy and agricultural technology. Work for a highly reputable and growing business.

Who you will work for?

About a decade ago in southern NSW, a group of forward thinking young agronomists with a passion for agriculture and technology started this company. Being from the land themselves, they knew there was a measurable gap in performance between traditional farming methods and the potential that lie ahead with technological advancements. This business has grown to service predominately broadacre cropping clientele across VIC, NSW, WA and QLD and employ about 15 people. They are leading the way in precision agriculture, and are driven to offer a supportive, informative and no-nonsense service.

The role itself?

Due to the recent consolidation of a business partnership with a regional association and a large corporate farming entity in QLD, this company is now looking to increase the support that they provide their clients. Your day to day activities in this role will include:

  • supporting and liaising with the farm advisor/s
  • advising and supporting the collection of field data
  • liaising with and delivering information to the farm advisor/s
  • supporting, maintaining and improving internal relationships
  • offering technical assistance direct to the farm advisor/s and clients
  • developing and implementing best precision ag practice across a range of farming regions

What kind of person will fit the role?

The perfect person for this role will have a knowledge and understanding of broadacre cropping throughout QLD and north-western NSW. They will also have an ability to communicate with people across the entire business, understand and interpret data, work autonomously and listen. It is not necessary that you have an ag science degree but you must have a practical understanding of broadacre agronomy, and a passion for technology.

How will you be rewarded?

You will be rewarded for your contributions to the business with an attractive salary (proportionate to your experience and skill set), 9.5% superannuation, full use of a company vehicle and access to all home office equipment.
