For 15 years now this family have been highly involved in servicing and consulting with growers in both the cane growing areas surrounding Bowen and the horticultural areas across the Burdekin. This business is a family owned and run enterprise that has built a reputation for being forward thinking, honest and a leader in customer service. They are now looking to grow their team and their capacity to service farmers.
The role itself?
This is an opportunity to join this business in servicing and consulting directly to farmers. You will provide relevant and innovative solutions to their soil nutrition needs and whole farm agronomy plans. Your day to day activities in this role will include:
- promoting the companies service offering and products
- advising and supporting growers through their fertiliser plans
- offering technical guidance and assistance direct to growers
- liaising with key industry stakeholders
- working with farmers directly to improve their yield and efficiency
- supporting, maintaining and improving current client relationships
- progressing and developing the reach of the business
What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be someone that has at least 3 years experience in the fruit/veg and/or cane industries. This business will employ a person that has a proven ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with farmers by providing quality information. This role will suit someone that is passionate about the growing region and is driven to exceed the expectations of the farmers that occupy it.

You will be rewarded for your contributions to the business with an attractive salary (proportionate to your experience and skill set), 9.5% superannuation and full use of a company vehicle.
