The role itself?
With the support and guidance of the technical team you will engage with fruit and vegetable growers and farmers across the Lockyer Valley, Sunshine Coast, South Burnett and Northern Rivers regions. You will also spend time with the other technical staff, agronomists, production/farm managers, quality control managers and business managers across the industry where you will create opportunities to strengthen their understanding of the company’s products.

Your day to day activities in this role will include:

  • Execute the Technical Promo plan as delivered by the Technical Manager and Lead Technical Officer

  • Demonstrate and explain products, with emphasis on technical elements and benefits, to farmers/growers

  • Record and report demonstration-related data as set out in the protocols

  • Plan and execute demonstrations as set out in the Tech Promo plan

  • Liaise with Regional Sales Managers and Territory Sales Managers to learn about the characteristics of the relevant audience and prepare demonstrations accordingly

  • Liaise with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional assets advertising positive demonstration results

  • Promote the company’s plant physiology focus

  • Assist and participate in the organisation of planned events such as grower field days, grower presentations, industry seminars and conferences

  • Assist with field trials to ensure accurate and timely application and measurements are delivered according to the trial protocol

  • Support the Lead Technical Officer and Technical Manager with development and client relations functions

  • Be familiar with and have adequate knowledge on equipment used in trials and demonstrations such as the drone technology, spray equipment and measuring devices.

What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be someone with tertiary agronomy qualifications and previous experience in horticultural agronomy. A person that has an ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with all technical stakeholders by providing quality information and solutions.
