Trainee Consultative Agronomist – FILLED BY US!
This is an opportunity for a recently graduated agronomist to service growers holistically and objectively. It is an opportunity for you to become an avocado(& tree crop) expert, and contribute to the on-going improvement of the local growers farming systems.
Who you will work for?
About a decade ago now, an agronomist who had been working for a retail business decided that they were sick of offering a 'fee in a drum' service. This consultative agronomy business has since grown to service predominately avocado and grape growers across VIC and QLD. They are leading the way in agronomy consultancy services, and are driven to offer a supportive, informative and no-nonsense service.
The role itself?
This is an opportunity to join their team based in Bundaberg and learn from two of the best agronomy consultants in the area. Your day to day activities in this role will include:
- promoting the companies service offering
- advising and supporting growers through agchem and fertiliser plans
- constructing informative reports and recommendations
- offering technical guidance and assistance direct to growers
- liaising with key industry stakeholders to stay up to date with new technologies
- collecting, analysing and interpreting data
- supporting, maintaining and improving current client relationships
- progressing and developing the reach of the business
What kind of person will fit the role?
The perfect person for this role would be a recently graduated agronomist with a passion for the fruit/veg industry. We are going to employ a person that is capable of establishing, maintaining and developing professional relationships with farmers, industry stake holders and the broader ag community.
